White & Case has appointed a new partnership committee, with two places for London-based partners for the first time.
The partnership committee, which works alongside White & Case’s four-member executive committee headed by chairman Hugh Verrier, has been appointed for a four-year term ending 31 August 2015.
Two of the committee, dispute resolution partner Jason Yardley and finance partner Chris Utting, are based in London. It is understood that the six other partners are:São Paulo-based Don Baker; US M&A head Oliver Brahmst; New York tax partner Jim Hayden; Prague project finance specialist Jan Matějček; New York M&A partner Neal Grenley; and New York corporate partner and former executive committee member Tony Kahn.
The appointments were made following an election among all of White & Case’s equity partners. The partnership committee oversees partner promotions, laterals and compensation.
Last month White & Case unveiled its new executive committee, which runs the firm on a day-to-day basis and which featured Londonoffice executive partner Oliver Brettle (21 September 2011).
