If you don’t play ball they have been known to just make something up. Personally, I’ve always refused to cooperate, on the basis that in the real world it’s better to under promise and over deliver, but 7 times out of 10, a firm will go with the biggest, juiciest promises which usually turn out to be optimistic at best. I’ve seen my previous firm do this with laterals over and over and over again. Who’s at fault there, I wonder…..?
