Tulkinghorn applauds the efforts of Herbert Smith property guru David Taylor, who along with client Mark Glatman of Abstract Securities raised £100,000 for the Sick Children's Trust after running the London Marathon last month (although 'running' may not be the most accurate description of Taylor's amble over 26 miles). Tulkinghorn can reveal that young David's stately progress was marked by 20 fags, a dodgy hamburger and a series of increasingly desperate text messages pleading for rescue. "I thought the lowest point was when I was overtaken by a man in a rhinoceros suit," Taylor told Tulkinghorn from his sickbed. "But then I was overtaken by four men carrying a lifeboat. I think I came about 23,000th in the end."
