High profile partners Rod Howard and Curtis Mo are latest to find new home
Weil Gotshal & Manges has become the latest firm to take on lawyers from the collapsed firm Brobeck Phleger & Harrison.
Rod Howard, head of Brobecks national mergers and acquisitions practice, and Curtis Mo, head of the firms Silicon Valley corporate group and co-chair of the national capital markets area, are joining Weil Gotshal.
The two high profile partners are expected to take six associates with them when they move to Weil Gotshals Silicon Valley branch.
The appointments were announced as Brobeck finally issued a statement on its web site regarding the decision to close the firm as well as publishing a list of departed attorneys.
The statement reads: "Brobeck is winding down its operations as a law firm. We expect that process to be substantially completed by the end of February."
The firm then goes onto state that the lawyers will continue to advise clients on current legal matters to "ensure that the needs of those clients are satisfied".
