North West firm Weightmans has unveiled a 3.2 per cent rise in turnover at the 2010-2011 year end, up from £56.2m to £58m.
It comes after a year that saw the firm make a number of significant investments, including the acquisition of Mace & Jones (22 March 2011) and Vizards Wyeth’s insurance team (8 March 2011).
In a statement managing partner Patrick Gaul said: “Over the past 12 months we’ve spent a significant amount of time preparing the business for the two recent mergers that have added over 200 people to the headcount at Weightmans.
“I’m very confident about the firm’s future and I’m delighted with the quality of people that we’ve welcomed recently. Everyone’s already working very well together and I expect a good year in 2011-12.”
The firm said it expected average profit per equity partner (PEP) for the year to be in the region of £300,000. This would represent a fall of 15 per cent on last year’s figure of £354,000.
