Weightmans former corporate head finds new home

Weightmans’ former Manchester head of corporate Jonathan Shorrock has found a new home at Bolton firm Kippax Beaumont Lewis (KBL).

Shorrock becomes KBL’s eighth partner. He will concentrate on M&A, venture capital, MBOs and MBIs.

In January it was announced that Shorrock, along with fellow Weightmans Manchester partners head of corporate recovery Glyn Willmott and head of planning and environment John Holmes, would be leaving the firm in March as Weightmans redirected its corporate and commercial strategy.

KBL managing partner Phil Stephenson called Shorrock’s appointment "very exciting", and added it would help the firm develop its corporate capability.
