  • I don't quite understand, are you a vacation schemer or a trainee? You seem to be a schemer but don't quite make that clear, and your constant references to trainee buddies creates an impression that you're a trainee yourself.

Either way, you'll soon find your ego is deflated quite a bit and your days spent reading the unreadable FT don't quite prepare you for the actual life of a trainee.

  • What is this article about? I have absolutely no idea what the point of it is and can't follow the theme which make the jokes confusing!

  • I'm getting a little suspicious of these anonymous comments. Either three people have some reading difficulties or its just one person who wants to remain anonymous for that very reason!

To me its pretty clear this guy is a student on vacation scheme at Baker and Mckenzie. If you find it so hard to understand; I have a crazy suggestion give him a break and find something better to do with your day! (maybe even your own blog??)

  • I've heard of more than one occassion of vac schemers, male and female, offering themselves to partner in return for the hope of being taken on as a trainee.

  • Kirsten; please.

This comment: "If you find it so hard to understand; I have a crazy suggestion give him a break and find something better to do with your day!" made me quiver for its use of the semi-colon with a clearly unhinged mind. You should no more be trusted with a keyboard than a child with a torpedo.

You probably meant something like this:

'If you find it so hard to understand, I have a crazy suggestion: give him a break and find something better to do with your day!'

  • What happened to the law chair who used to write the blogs!? They were much better than this pompous tripe.

  • I like this post. All writing styles appeal to different people, and it's good that lawyer2b is getting different people to write in different ways so that the diverse and varied bunch of law students out there can hopefully find some way of making sense of the legal world!
