Watson Farley turns to SNR Denton for planning launch

Watson Farley & Williams is set to launch a planning practice in London after hiring a lawyer from SNR Denton.

Gareth Phillips, a senior associate at SNR Denton, is expected to join Watson Farley & Williams shortly. Phillips specialises in obtaining consents for public and private-sector clients for redevelopments and will be charged with establishing Watson Farley’s planning practice.

In a statement, Watson Farley’s managing partner Michael Greville said: “The development of a planning practice is part of the continuing expansion of our London office and reflects the increasing demand for specialist expertise to cover the full range of legal issues which arise in development projects.”

The news comes after yesterday’s announcement that Watson Farley had hired two asset-finance lawyers, both of whom had practised at Berwin Leighton Paisner (5 October 2011).
