This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
Newcastle firm Watson Burton has enjoyed its second record year, with turnover up 29 per cent.
The firm posted figures of £13.8m for the financial year to April 30, up from £10.7m in 2003. Revenue in 2003 was itself a rise of 27 per cent from 2002’s £8m. Profits per partner have yet to be finalised.
Senior partner Andrew Hoyle puts Watson Burton’s success down to the quality of his staff and added: “There’s been a lot of hard work. Good teamwork is what we’ve got going at the moment.”
The firm converted to LLP status on 1 May and will shortly be moving to new offices to accommodate the expanding practice.
