Newcastle firm Watson Burton has signalled its commitment to its Leeds outpost by agreeing terms for new offices in the city.
The firm announced it was to open in Leeds last August. The new premises in City Square, in the centre of the city, will house Watson Burton’s growing Leeds team.
Senior partner Andrew Hoyle said the offices would provide room for future expansion. He added that Watson Burton’s strategy was to recruit "good people from leading firms" to advise Yorkshire businesses.
The Leeds office was founded by banking head Andrew Gosnay, who now leads a team of four partners. They include Graham Ridler, formerly of Deacons in Hong Kong; Tristan Meears-White, a regulatory specialist who came from DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary; and Mark Warburton, previously corporate head at Andrew M Jackson in Hull.
