Watson Burton has boosted its fledgling London office with the hire of KSB Law commercial property partner Caroline Summerfield.
The Newcastle-based firm, which opened its London office in June 2006, had already beefed up its presence in the capital this year, with three new additions snatched from SJ Berwin, RadcliffesLeBrasseur and fellow Newcastle firm Robert Muckle.
"What London's done is allow the firm to be able to attract people with niche areas of expertise, allowing us to enhance the practice as a whole," said Watson Burton head of property Richard Freeman-Wallace.
The firm now has four partners and two associates. It opened with a construction/ PFI team from Field Fisher Waterhouse, which has been busy with clients such as Taylor Woodrow and Sir Robert McAlpine on a number of construction projects such as the £100m mixed development at King's Cross for Manhattan Loft Corporation.
