Wallace has acted for Enic International on its purchase of Sir Alan Sugar's remaining shares in football club Tottenham Hotspur. Enic, owned by the family trust of international investor Joseph Lewis and Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy, instructed a team led by Wallace managing partner Rex Newman on the £25m purchase from Amshold, owned by Sugar and his family. The latest sale raised Enic's holding from 54 to 66 per cent. Herbert Smith acted for Amshold, while Tottenham was advised by Seymour Pierce. Slaughter and May advised Tottenham's independent directors.
