Students and lawyers got together to raise more than 6,000 for charity this weekend by walking the length of the Thames in London.
The walk, organised by Kings College London law student Jonathan Charwat, was to raise money to support the London Legal Support Trust (LLST), a funding organisation for pro bono providers.
LLST chief executive Bob Nightingale, who was on hand to dish out refreshments to the thirsty ramblers on route, said the weekend was a great success.
The determination of the walkers was absolutely fantastic because walking from Erith in Kent to Hampton Court is no mean feat. Lets just say they all enjoyed their cheesy chips and drinks at the pub afterwards, said Nightingale.
Andrew Walker from the Royal Courts of Justice Advice Bureau, probably enjoyed his pub treat more than most after he was involved in a car accident the day before the event.
He said: I was knocked over by a car on Friday. I wasnt sure I could start let alone finish and I only made it because of the encouragement of the other walkers around me.
