Walker Morris presents prizes for its 19th Children’s Charity Calendar Competition

Walker Morris has presented 50 children with prizes at a special presentation ceremony at its offices on 9 November, for its 19th annual Children’s Charity Calendar Painting Competition.

The 13 winners, one for each month of the year, plus the front page, were all presented with a hamper full of artists’ materials worth £50, plus a cheque for their school for £250.

The three judges comprised Yorkshire artist Ashley Jackson, Walker Morris partner David Smedley and Dean Poole from West Yorkshire Printing, who had to choose the winning paintings from more than 1,700 entries across 100 schools in the Yorkshire, Humber and north-east Lincolnshire regions.

All the proceeds from the sales of the calendar go to Martin House Children’s Hospice.
