Virgin turns to IBM to fill associate GC role

Virgin Media has hired IBM in-house lawyer Toni Vitale as an assistant general counsel.

Vitale will lead Virgin’s delivery and infrastructure legal division working underneath company-wide general counsel Bryan Hall.

He will work alongside fellow associate general counsel Charlotte McMillan, a former SJ Berwin partner who joined the company earlier this year and who has responsibility for content (25 May 2009).

Hall said: “Virgin Media has built a robust platform for growth and we are making strong progress towards transforming the company into one of the most customer-centric organisations in the industry.”

During his seven-year tenure at IBM Vitale led the firm’s technology, outsourcing and services legal team in Europe. Before joining IBM he worked for Fujitsu’s in-house legal division.
