Vinson & Elkins has appointed a new Middle East managing partner to succeed Lewis Jones.
Ayman Khaleq will replace Jones in the role, overseeing management of the firm’s Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Riyadh offices with immediate effect.
Jones has been in the role for four years and will relocate to Vinson & Elkin’s London office, where he will remain involved in MENA work.
Khaleq is a structured finance and debt capital markets specialist, who made partner in 2007. He joined the firm in 2004.
“Lewis has done a terrific job building our solid foundation in the Middle East and we’re confident that Ayman is the right person to expand on this opportunity,” said Vinson & Elkins managing partner Joe Dilg.
Vinson & Elkins launched its Riyadh office in May 2011 (9 May 2011).
