Swedish law firm Vinge is boosting its UK regional relationships having acted on a referral from Halliwell Landau
Vinge advised on the acquisition of Swedish games developer 42-Bit AB by Warthog. It is the first time that Halliwells has undertaken any activity in Sweden. Vinge corporate partner Peter Oscarsson, based in Malmo, first came accross Halliwell Landau when the Swedish firm advised Sigma on the acquisition of Halliwells software engineering client Teleca. This prompted the firm to approach Oscarsson to provide advice on Warthog's £413m acquisition of 42-Bit. Halliwells took Warthog to the market last year, raising £5m, with the company raising a further £2m this year on a rights issue. 42-Bit was advised by Swedish firm Delphi & Co. A spokesperson for Warthog said that the company is likely to continue to use Vinge for corporate advice in Sweden, but any decision would be re-viewed by 42-Bit's managing director Christoffer Nilsson.
