  • I don't think so. It's editorial left over from 1st April.

  • Yeah they're both real. Veale Wasbrough is even in the Chambers Student Guide in most years.

  • Two goodish firms. VW have a good practice advising private schools.

  • VW even has an Italian sister firm called Veal Milanese

  • Veale Wasbrough is a nice enough little firm in Bristol and I gather it is a decent place to work. Can't say I've heard of Vizards Tweedie, but one thing is for sure; both names are terrible and they need a decent brand name before pushing on.

  • If these firms have never heard of you does that mean we should question your existence?

  • Sadly the arrogance of the large firms is reflected in the "are these real" comment that begins this string. Of course there are firms that are outside of the magic circle and are developing business while the large firms cut back and make people redundant. As organisations get bigger they attract people who are happy to work there with the quality of work they offer but who lack the dynamism, flexibility and, one suspects, the humility that is needed to practice law outside of the cocoon of the magic circle. I work for neither of these firms nor have I any personal benefit in promoting them but I know for certain that in 20 years time they and people like them will be in practice while Mr Arrogant Anonymous will not. DLA Piper was as a small Yorkshire firm 20 years ago.

  • The arrogance of the first few postings here is extraordinary. Get off your high horses. Veale Wasbrough is a really quality law firm that I have been a client of for many years. If you believe that qualty only comes from size, it starts to explain exactly why you are facing much harder cuts than these growing service focused regional firms.
