The Lawyer Global Litigation Top 50 report is the only ranking of international law firms by litigation and arbitration revenue and is essential reading for anyone seeking to benchmark their litigation and dispute resolution practices...
This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
US firm McKenna & Cuneo has closed down its London office only one year after it opened.
National marketing director Norm Rubinstein said the 255-lawyer firm, known for its government contracting, litigation and environmental work, "had decided to consolidate resources in the Brussels office". The London office was opened last year when the firm took on two UK lawyers, Patrick Doyle and Saleem Malik, from US firm Popham Haik.
The Lawyer understands that after the decision to close the London office was taken, McKenna & Cuneo offered to transfer Doyle and Malik to the Brussels office, opened in 1990, to serve domestic clients.
Project finance specialist Doyle, who is dual qualified, is working on projects with US firm Arnold & Porter. Jim Dinnage, Arnold & Porter London managing partner, said the work "may or may not lead to him joining the firm".
He added: "There is quite a lot of ground to go over before we make up our minds."
Malik, who is a qualified barrister, has moved to Arnheim & Co.
