Under Linda Urquhart’s leadership, Morton Fraser has taken great leaps forward this year. First off has been its conversion to limited-liability status, reflecting Urquhart’s position as a forward-thinking manager.
The move has coincided with growth in the firm’s core areas – IP, IT, real estate and private client work – as well as a foray into asset finance with the hire of Sun Microsystems’ in-house counsel Graeme Heaton.
Meanwhile, in 2004 Urquhart at long last took the plunge and launched a Glasgow office – a move that will satisfy a lot of clients and, it is hoped, galvanise profitability for years to come.
