Fountain Court Chambers came out on the winning side of the biggest case of the year, the collapsed BCCI trial, with several members of chambers involved for the Bank of England.
The set's turnover rose by 4 per cent to hit £28m, with RPB at £466,000. Contributions remain steady at 14 per cent. Members of chambers visited the Court of Appeal 39 times, more than any other magic circle set.
Fountain Court's male-female ratio is good, with just less than 5.5 male barristers to every female tenant. However, the set had no female silks last year, although this was remedied in this year's QC list with the appointment of Patricia Robertson. Fountain Court has a low number of door tenants and only one arbitrator, making it less reliant on this area of work than most of its rivals. |
