Lewis Silkin saw its average PEP tumble to just
£162,000 in 2005, down from a strong £222,000
the previous year. The firm was paying for a new
Oxford office, designed to serve employment clients,
as well as extra office space in London and new hires
at all levels of the business.
The firm is seeking to focus on its three core areas
of media and marketing, employment and commercial
property. It will also be hoping to improve
on this year's disappointing performance in the litigation
department.
Lewis Silkin brought in a new managing partner
during the year in the shape of Ian Jeffery and
formally established a fifth department, `media,
brands and technology'.
