Manches' figures were disappointing last year,
with both turnover and profit dipping. The average
PEP figure was in some ways even more disturbing
than the slight fall in revenue, from £23.8m to
£23.5m, as it fell below the psychologically
important £200,000 figure to £195,000.
The poor results are also a disapointment because
Manches appeared to have turned a corner in recent
years, with stronger financial results and a succession
of lateral hires. The investment reflected in those
hires now needs to be repaid in revenue.
