A storming year for Speechly Bircham, which
saw average PEP smash the firm's records to
reach £365,000, a rise of 40 per cent. Turnover,
meanwhile, rose 16 per cent to £29.1m.
Real estate work for clients such as Royal Bank
of Scotland did particularly well, contributing 20
per cent of revenue, while the banking and finance
team, which represents clients such as GMAC
Commercial Finance and Wharton Asset
Management, also saw significant growth. Last
year's partnership restructuring, which saw two
partners de-equitised, also inevitably had a positive
effect on the PEP levels.
