The costs of de-merging were always going to
have an impact on Bevan Brittan's figures this year.
The legacy Bristol, Birmingham and London arms
of the former Bevan Ashford managed a revenue
hike of 20 per cent to £37.3m, but profits suffered
with just a 2.5 per cent rise to £209,000.
The cost of a new building in Birmingham can
also be seen in the figures but this office has seen
the most rapid expansion of the new firm. In
February Bevan Brittan launched its first-ever licensing
team while in May it boosted its presence in
the health sector with the hire of a team from
Beachcroft Wansbroughs.
