Berrymans Lace Mawer has had a steady year.
The firm retained its place on several insurance
panels, including the one for Zurich UK general
insurance, and has picked up new work from other
clients such as Allianz Cornhill. As a result, profit
rose 16 per cent to £160,000 per equity partner.
The firm, which is mainly a litigation specialist,
has appeared in several high-profile cases. It acted
for the Metropolitan Police in the Morris Inquiry
into police standards and appeared in the Court of
Appeal in the asbestos case of Barker v Saint Gobain
Pipelines.
