Leeds-based Walker Morris has changed little in
recent years, growing steadily from the bottom up,
and the strategy is paying dividends. Average PEP
in 2005 was £575,000, a rise of 11 per cent from
the previous year.
With a number of new public sector clients,
including Lancashire's and Doncaster's county
councils, and steady work coming in from other
clients such as Cleveland Bridge, the firm is thriving
on a solid base of commercial litigation, property
and corporate work.
Managing partner Peter Smart predicts further
steady turnover growth and plans to continue
recruitment at assistant level in order to grow the
partnership from inside the firm.
