BURGES SALMON record a rise in both
turnover and PEP. Turnover rose 6.6 per cent to
£45m, while PEP increased 5 per cent to £352,000.
Corporate had another busy year with its AIM
practice advising on flotations for Samus,
Michelmersh Brick Holdings, smartFOCUS Group
and ITM Power, among others. It also scooped its
first work for pharmaceutical and defence company
Steris on its acquisition of Albert Browne.
In July 2004, the Bristol-based firm bolstered its
environment practice, hiring Ross Fairley from Allen
& Overy. This past financial year also saw the firm
boost its overall partnership to 61 and join the
growing list of firms converting to limited-liability
partnerships.
