Reynolds Porter Chamberlain (RPC) hit the
£50m mark for the first time this year with a 10 per
cent turnover rise. It also saw a 4 per cent increase
in average PEP.
The firm continues to enjoy a high profit margin,
although this dropped in 2004-05 to 36 per
cent from 2004's 38 per cent.
The all-equity partnership operates a modified
lockstep, which was altered for the current financial
year with the introduction of a merit element.
RPC's insurance litigation team, supported by a
satellite office in Tiverton, remains the firm's primary
revenue generator. However, corporate and
property are becoming increasingly important and
now contribute 10 per cent each to total turnover.
The media litigation practice is also performing
well and continues to advise on high-profile cases
(including suspended police officer Christopher
Miller and Cherie Blair confidante Martha Greene)
for key client Associated Newspapers.
