SULLIVAN & CROMWELL'S London presence
tried to shift away from its image as a US support
function rather than a fully-fledged UK
presence during 2004-05. The firm promoted
UK-qualified Craig Jones to its partnership in
a move described as preceding a broader push
into UK corporate. This contradicted claims
that the UK practice be restricted to project finance. It appears to have worked in the London
office's favour, though, with revenue up
9.5 per cent to £46m and PEP also up to £1.4m. |
