WEIL GOTSHAL & Mange's London office
posted its best year ever, with turnover rising
4 per cent to £52m, while across Europe
turnover hit $164m (£89.5m), up 33
per cent.
London has a a lot of equity partners ± 21
of the office's 26 partners share in the equity.
But despite the strong year, average London
PEP still lags behind the rest of the firm. It
stood at $1.4m (£764,200) last year, compared
with $1.7m (£927,900) globally. The firm has
merit-based remuneration, ensuring a wide
equity spread. Global spread is from $600,000
(£327,500) up to $4m (£2.2m), although no
one in London is at the top of equity.
Unsurprisingly, corporate and private equity,
which together contribute more than half of
the office's London turnover, continued to
power the operation. |
