HAVING PICKEDup 24 new tenants in 2002-
03 and 22 in 2003-04, No 5 easily remained
the UK's biggest set in terms of barristers,
although this year remained steady at 160
tenants.
Despite not bolstering its barrister numbers,
No 5 did have one of the biggest
turnover rises of the bar, with revenue going
up 16 per cent to £21.6m. Revenue per barrister
increased almost as much, up 15 per
cent to £135,000. However, the set still has
the lowest average income per tenant of the
Bar Top 30, below fellow regional sets St
Philips and Exchange Chambers.
The year also saw the opening of No 5's
Bristol annexe, adding to its presence in Birmingham
and London. |
