WILBERFORCE CHAMBERS continued its
expansion with the hire of its second magic
circle IP partner in just over a year. Solicitoradvocate
Alan Bryson joined former Linklaters
partner Anna Carboni in July 2004 from
Clifford Chance.
This set the tone for a solid year, with
revenue rising 10 per cent to £22.2m, but
RPB slipped slightly, by 2.5 per cent to
£505,000. The set's appearances in the Court
of Appeal slumped from 55 last year to 28 in
2005, but there were other highlights. The
set is advising one of the non-executive
directors on his role in the Equitable saga. It
represented the directors and liquidators in
the TXU insolvency proceedings and advised
Bankers Trust on its syndicated loan dispute
with the City of Moscow. |
