GORDON POLLOCK QC's Essex Court
Chambers enjoyed a solid year, raising
turnover by 5 per cent and revenue per barrister
by 2 per cent. Essex Court is also now
the largest of the Bar Top 30 sets to be based
purely in London, with 68 tenants, including
28 silks. That number is reflected in the
16 House of Lords appearances by Essex Court
members throughout the year, including Sue
Prevezer QC's representation of the Concord
Trust and Bingham McCutchen in a bondholders
dispute with the Law Debenture Trust,
heard in the Lords in April this year.
Other key instructions came from Eversheds
in the Ultraframe dispute, Stephenson
Harwood in the Dame Shirley Porter litigation
and Herbert Smith in the AWG fight.
Head of chambers Pollock continues to act
for the liquidators of BCCI in the ongoing
High Court trial. |
