On 25 February, the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) published its updated code of practice on conducting privacy impact assessments.

The code is essential reading for all businesses and other organisations in the UK. In brief, it sets out the data protection and wider privacy issues that should be considered when planning new projects. The code follows a public consultation carried out last year.
