Midlands-based emw Law has reported a standout year, with turnover up by 25 per cent to £8.8m.
Profit is yet to be finalised, but the Northampton and Milton Keynes firm is projecting an average profit per equity partner of around £275,000 off a margin of 26 per cent.
Emw's chief executive Joy Vollans said the property team's revenue was up by 56 per cent following the acquisition in February 2006 of a team of lawyers from Fennemores in Milton Keynes.
"The new arrivals added to our overheads, but each individual has billed a minimum of £150,000, with the top biller bringing in around £335,000," added Vollans.
Emw's property clients include Nationwide, Travis Perkins and Merrill Lynch.
Corporate and finance, which emw merged into one group on 1 May this year, also had a strong year, with revenue up by 36 per cent.
Vollans added that emw was also setting its sights on further expansion south, with Luton, Dunstable or St Albans the next likely destination, followed eventually by London.
