The words Gleneagles Hotel conjure up images of a rarefied atmosphere, fine dining and expensive whiskies drunk in crystal glasses by a roaring fire. Not an ex-lawyer's genitals.
But this Christmas hotel guests were treated to an impromptu sexual display from former Dickson Minto property partner Philip Anderson.
Eyewitness reports from the hotel's Deseo restaurant suggest that Anderson got his Dickson out for a female companion as a sort of after dinner Minto.
The scene was reported in several Scottish news sources, including The Daily Record and The Scotsman newspapers.
The incident occurred in December and Anderson has since paid a £300 fine after pleading guilty to two criminal acts.
Four years ago Dickson Minto called in an investigator to look into allegations that two of the firm's lawyers were involved in a drunken brawl during a weekend away at the Lake District's Langdale resort (19 June 2004).

Showing his Dickson
This reminds me of a limerick I heard in my student days ...
A randy young lawyer named Rex,
Once showed a young lady his sex.
When charged with exposure,
he said with composure,
"De minimis non curat lex."

Tulkinghorn's limerick
I'm sorry to say your favoured Rob comes up short in his recollection of this ancient limerick. A better version is:
There was a law student called Rex
With diminutive organs of sex
When arraigned for exposure
He replied with composure
"De minimis non curat lex."
You need the reference to size, otherwise the punchline loses its punch. Rob's version also fails by repeating "young" in the first couplet and "with" in the second. Beta minus, I'm afraid.

Personally...
...I find jokes much, much funnier when they're analysed.

Analysing the jokes
I suspect Anonymous is much younger than me. Given that I was a student over thirty years ago, I think I did well to recollect the limerick at all.
Somedays I'm lucky to remember not to forget to remember to get out of bed.
AND I now live in Australia, where my brain cells have been turned to mush.
Alpha plus for effort, I'd say.
