Linklaters banking head John Tucker is to replace Giles White as the firm’s head of finance and projects two months after bothe he and capital markets chief Nick Eastwell lost out on the managing partner role.
In February, Tucker and Eastwell were beaten to the managing partner position by Simon Davies, who replaced the incumbent Tony Angel. As of tomorrow, Tucker will head the firm’s finance and projects division, with former head White taking on the role of Asia managing partner. Eastwell remains as capital markets boss.
Joining Tucker in the senior management team, John Turnbull is taking on the title of head of commercial, replacing Christopher Style, who is standing down after two terms in the role.
Robert Elliott, who is currently global head of financial restructuring, will replace Tucker as head of banking.
The trio will sit on the firm’s executive committee, which is chaired by Davies and which is responsible for the management of the firm.
