Steptoe & Johnson's London office has suffered another significant loss with the departure of employment head Neil Adams and an assistant to Trowers & Hamlins
It is the latest in a string of defections since Steptoe & Johnson's merger with boutique telecoms firm Rakisons in 2000. Adams had originally replaced Steptoes' former employment head David von Hagen, who returned to his previous firm DJ Freeman in 2000. Other departures include head of corporate Simon Vivian and litigation partners Jane Jales and Richard Hinchliffe to Marriott Harrison, telecoms head Danny Preiskel to Altheimer & Gray and telecoms partner Chris Hole to KLegal. Adams said he did not see a future for his practice within Steptoes.
