Baker & McKenzie, DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary and North West London firm Solomon Taylor & Shaw all advised on the sale of the iconic Sugar Puffs cereal brand to Big Bear. The deal is expected to complete in early September. Solomon Taylor advised the buyers, led by the firm's senior and managing partner Raymond Taylor. The seller, PepsiCo, was advised both by its in-house team, led by Joanne Averiss, and by Baker & McKenzie, led by corporate partner Gordon Low. DLA Piper acted for Barclays, which provided Big Bear with a £22m debt package to complete the purchase. DLA Piper was led by banking partner Matt Morgan.
