Trio of tie-ups boosts global arbitration

SJ Berwin has ramped up its new standalone international arbitration practice by entering into formal agreements with special counsel in India, China and Austria.

The firm has struck non-exclusive memorandums of understanding with George Q Fu of Chinese law firm Watson & Band in Shanghai, Dharmendra Rautray from Indian firm Kachwaha & Partners and Susanne Heger from Heger Oblin in Vienna.
All three specialise in international business law and arbitration. Rautray became a member of the Bar of England and Wales in July 2001.

SJ Berwin’s specialist international arbitration practice will be formally launched this Thursday (4 November), although it has been running since Russian arbitration specialist David Goldberg joined the firm in April from Kennedys.
