UK firms DWF, Foot Anstey and Pinsent Masons have scored places on Halfords’ first panel of external legal advisers following a competitive procurement process.
Foot Anstey and Pinsent Masons have previously advised the UK retailer, which specialises in car products and bicycles, on an ad-hoc basis while the appointment represents new client work for DWF.
The three firms are currently working together to carry out a legal risk audit for Halfords, examining its current legal processes and procedures.
Halfords company secretary Alex Henderson, who oversaw the panel selection, said: “We’re looking forward to working with our newly appointed panel of firms, helping us to build on our commercial and legal achievements over the past year.”
DWF litigation partner and Leeds office head James Haddleton, who led the DWF team through the panel process, added: “I’m delighted that we’ve been appointed to the Halfords legal panel, working closely together with a number of firms to deliver the company’s legal and commercial objectives over the coming years.
“It’s particularly exciting to be part of something innovative like this audit being carried out by the panel, sharing our combined expertise for the benefit of Halfords.”
