Travers Thorp Alberga
There was no change in headcount for Travers Thorp Alberga last year, but the firm - which maintains its staunch belief in a niche model focused on senior lawyers - said net revenue was up by a staggering 50 per cent. However, growth at senior level is in the pipeline.
Indeed, the firm saw its partner-to-associate ratio fall last year, from 1:1.1 in 2013 to 1:0.8 in 2014. While female partner numbers remained static at four, the addition of two non-equity partners meant that its female partnership proportion dropped to 30.8 per cent. Nevertheless, this is still one of the highest ratios in the offshore world.
The firm has been focusing on its Asian offering and has six lawyers based in Hong Kong, with the rest of its lawyers and partners still in Cayman.
