Travers promotes three in cut down partnership round

Travers Smith has made up three associates to partner, in a promotions round less than half the size of last year’s.

The firm has promoted litigator Jan-Jaap Baer, funds specialist Jeremy Elmore and banking and corporate recovery lawyer Danny Peel to its partnership.

Last year Travers promoted eight associates to partner (16 May 2012). In 2011 the firm bolstered its partnership by four.

The reduced promotions round reflects the overall picture across the UK this year.

Managing partner Andrew Lilley said the new partners had the “skills and ability” to help drive the firm forward in a challenging market.
