Eversheds has achieved a major feat as it takes on a leading financial services partner from Clifford Chance's Hong Kong office.
Jonathon Crook will be joining Eversheds on his return from Hong Kong where he will divide his time between the financial services group in London and the commercial litigation team in Manchester. Crook has advised on commercial litigation cases including banking and financial services disputes, insolvency matters and regulatory investigations for the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission and the Stock Exchange. The move is a substantial coup for Eversheds, which already has an established financial services team in London. Eversheds head of litigation John Heaps said that Crook will bring a huge amount of expertise to the firm. "He is a highly-rated lawyer and was head-hunted by Clifford Chance two years ago. He will be a major contribution to the firm's commercial litigation expertise." Crook will be based in Manchester.
