Tony Blair’s brother appointed QBD judge

Tony Blair’s brother, William Blair QC of 3 Verulam Buildings (3VB), has been appointed a judge in the Queen’s Bench Division (QBD) of the High Court.

Blair was called to the bar in 1972, took silk in 1994 and became a recorder in 1998.

He was involved in Zambia v Meer Care of Desai (2005). Nicholas Hill, senior practice manager at 3VB, commented: “His appointment is the second for the set this year and we congratulate him and know that he’ll excel.”
