Tonucci & Partners has become the first firm to announce the hire of a partner from Clifford Chance’s former Italian ally Grimaldi e Associati, which dissolved in December.
Corporate finance and M&A lawyer Annalisa Pescatori is joining Tonucci as a partner to head up the firm’s Milan office. The Milan managing partner position is a newly-created role.
Pescatori was an equity partner at Grimaldi for 10 years, having moved to the firm from an in-house role at investment bank UMI.
Tonucci currently has three partners based full-time in its Milan office.
Grimaldi’s partners voted to dissolve the firm in December (13 December 2011), following the November departure of a team led by co-founder Roberto Cappelli to Gianni Origoni Grippo & Partners (8 November 2011).
