Tods Murray snares former cricket pro" /> •Scottish firm Tods Murray has hired the former English international cricketer and broadcaster Paul Allott as an adviser to its sports law team. The appointment takes effect from 1 May. Allott played cricket 26 times for England in tests and one-day internationals. He also appeared in two Ashes-winning series and took more than 500 first-class wickets for Lancashire. Since retiring fromprofessional cricket Allott has worked for BBC Radio as a member of the Test Match Special commentary team. For the past 10 years he has also been part of the Sky Sports cricket commentary team. His appointment to Tods Murray is designed to help the 34-partner firm promote and grow its sports law team.
