Scotland’s Tods Murray has helped its client Consort Healthcare (Fife) reach financial close on the £170m Fife General Hospital and Maternity Services PPP.
Tods Murray picked up the deal through its long-standing relationship with consortium partner Balfour Beatty, which it has advised on five UK hospital projects in total.
The other consortium member on this 30-year project is HSBC Infrastructure Investments.
The project involves provision of a new wing to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy, including 11 operating theatres, an emergency care centre, 13 wards, surgical and medical assessment units, a maternity unit, a women and children’s unit, day intervention, critical care, coronary care and renal and dialysis facilities.
The Fife Hospital project is the largest construction programme in the mid-Scottish region and is due for completion in 2011.
