TLT in redundancy consultation with 20 staff

Southwest-based TLT Solicitors has become the latest firm to launch a redundancy consultation, talking with up to 20 staff.

TLT said it would be able to minimise the losses by moving staff to busier areas of the firm. The redundancies will affect staff in the firm's London and Bristol offices and the consultation will be finished by the end of the year.

David Pester, TLT's managing partner, said: "The significant turmoil in the UK economy is having a fundamental impact on our clients' activities and, by extension, our own business operations."

He added: "As a result of these difficult market conditions, it is with great regret that TLT has had to start a formal consultation process with a small number of our staff, which may lead to redundancies."
